In December, we open our doors—and our hearts—wide for one of the most beautiful moments of the year: a celebration of music, traditions, and the emotion of the winter holidays.
“Open the Door, Host! – Caroling as a Family” sets off on a national carol tour, bringing beloved artists to the same stage, authentic music, folk costumes, children’s voices, and the fairytale atmosphere of Romanian Christmas.
From traditional carols that remind us of childhood to the emotion-filled performances of the guest artists, each show is a true celebration of family, generosity, and the joy of being together.

Clădirea Transilvania este considerată bijuteria arhitecturală a municipiului Zalău. Numele îi vine de la un restaurant care a funcționat la parterul clădirii. Clădirea Transilvania este un exemplu caracteristic de clădire în stil eclectic. Construcția sa a început la mijlocul sec. al XIX-lea. Pe baza fotografiilor existente se poate spune că întregul complex a fost finalizat în anul 1901.
Este o clădire pentru construcţia căreia arhitecţii au adoptat soluţii simple şi funcţionale, decoraţiuni medievale îmbinate cu elemente arhitecturale, inovatoare la acea vreme. Aceasta este localizată în partea sudică a pieței centrale a orașului vechi, fiind un complex compus din 3 corpuri de clădire: corpul A, construit în stil baroc, constituind casa Wesselenyi; corpul C cu faţada spre actualul parc din piaţa centrală a oraşului; și corpul central cu scopul de a adăposti „Teatrul Orăşenesc” din Zalău, în prezent corpul B. Aceste 2 corpuri au fost construite în stilurile arhitectonice din vremea respectivă. În „Programul de construire” destinația construcției avea următoarea repartizare: restaurant; cafenea; un mic hotel care să asigure camere pentru oaspeţi; locuinţe cu două şi trei camere pentru mandatari; o sală de dans, care să poată găzdui şi spectacole de teatru, aşezată în mod obligatoriu spre stradă.
